Clary Sage essential oil: Your new secret weapon

clary sage essential oil has many benefits

If Clary Sage essential oil isn’t front and center on your shelf, you might want to move it there. The benefits of Clary Sage oil are as numerous as its uses, making it a must-have for every EO collection.

How to use Clary Sage essential oil

Before we bust out the uses, let’s make one thing clear: This list is only a sampling of the ways you can work Clary Sage’s clarifying skills into your daily routine. Start off with these six suggestions and then see what else you come up with.

When you’re in a mood

If a particularly trying day leaves you feeling tapped out, battle the blahs with the herbaceous, floral aroma of Clary Sage. Clary Sage is a main ingredient in Dragon Time™ essential oil blend and massage oil. Diffuse the former as you apply the latter for a powerful duo that will have you decompressing in no time. Soft hair, don’t care

Has your hair seen better, more hydrated days? Do you find yourself fighting frizz from sunup to sundown? Does your ’do need some deep conditioning? If you answered yes to any or all the above, you’re in luck! With a few drops of Clary Sage, soft, silky hair is only a DIY mask away!

Create your own deep-conditioning DIY hair mask by combining 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 2 teaspoons olive oil, 4 drops Clary Sage essential oil, and 4 drops Rosemary essential oil. Apply to hair, concentrating on the ends, and let sit for 15 minutes. Wash hair as normal and plan to turn heads every time you walk into a room.

Time for a little TLM (tender loving massage)

Feelin’ the not-so-good feels in your lower back? Combine a few drops of Clary Sage oil with some V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex and give that area the attention it deserves. Move the massage to shoulders, hands, and feet for an all-over, ahhh-some experience. Keep in mind, this essential oil should always be diluted before using topically. We suggest keeping things simple by keeping a bottle of Clary Sage-infused Cel-Lite Magic™ Massage Oil handy!

Hit that snooze button

You’ve gone through your entire bedtime routine and you’re snuggled in tight. Unfortunately, visions of to-do lists dance in your head. When you occasionally find yourself wrestling with restlessness, try some Clary Sage in your diffuser. Combine it with other chill choices like Frankincense and Ylang Ylang and let the complex scent create a relaxing environment to help carry you off to dreamland.

Bathtime bliss

Pampering yourself is a must, and we’re all for doing it more than once a month! Try one of these tips to turn regular ol’ bathtime into truly indulgent “me” time:

  • Put a few drops of Clary Sage essential oil in your bath water and soak up its relaxing aroma.
  • Wash off the cares of the day with a little Clary Sage, a key ingredient in our Evening Peace™ Bath & Shower Gel.
  • Make bath salts with 1 cup Epsom salt and 10 drops of essential oil. Combine Clary Sage with Lavender for that spa-like vibe.

When in doubt, diffuse

If you’re unsure where to start with your new bottle of Clary Sage, we recommend this light, airy, and oh-so-fresh diffuser blend.
